Visual Studio Macros

I was going over Adam Cogan's (Superior Software for Windows) upcoming talk here at Tech.Ed Australia, and mentioned some macro's I use all the time... unfortunately I couldn't find the link to the TypeFinder one, so here is where to get this great macro (check the comments for an enhancement someone posted).

The other great macro is the “Add Region” macro by DevHawk, I sent him a little bug fix for it so it's worth double checking if you have the latest version.

What other ideas do you all have for Macros to enhance your experience in Visual Studio? I consider the above two to be “must have”, but I'm keen to know of more.

Update: Corrected the link to Adam's profile upon request.

I'd love to see one that goes further than the usual property creators...maybe one that, given the names of two regions, will let you fill out a little table, like a datagrid or something (this would have to be an add-in wouldn't it?) of "Property Name" and "Property Type" and then would throw in all the member declarations and all the properties in the two regions or something to that affect. I guess that sounds more like a code generator than a plug-in huh? :-\

Hi Tim,

You're right, I created the TypeFinder macro. There is no other page for it than my blog. Thanks for mentioning it!

If couldn't live without the macros I use for expanding/collapsing #regions using the keyboard:

The keyboard commands coming with VS.Net treat all collapsible items equally which isn't really that useful when all you want to do is to toggle the current #region the cursor is positioned in, and not the current method, block comment, etc.
