Birmingham talk on ASP.NET Whidbey

Tonight's talk in Birmingham went very well tonight.

I did the talk in Huntsville about a month ago.  I did not feel that my talk went as well as it could have.  I looked back at my talk and I realized that I had two problems with my talk.

  1. I was too rushed on the day that I did my talk in Huntsville.  By being rushed, my mind was on other things than doing the best talk that I could have.  Today, I spent about 30 minutes going over my material before I left to go to Birmingham.
  2. I tried to cover too much information.  I was nervous and hurried. It showed.

So, for tonight's talk, I cut down on my examples and went over my material before leaving.  I felt that I did a much better job tonight than last month.  I talked for about 90 minutes.  I had about 60 minutes of questions.

Well, wouldn't you know it, I get behind a few days on my blog reading, and miss this. It's not every day that someone whose blog I read comes to the city where I live and gives a talk. I'm glad to hear that it went well, and I'll have to keep an eye out for when you're back out this way again.
