Georgia Tech Sports

Well, I think the GT guys did a good job over the past month.

They beat up on Syracuse in the "Excuse me is this really a bowl" Bowl game.

They lost to Gonzaga in Basketball @ Gonzaga, which I don't think is anything bad.

They lost to Kansas in Basketball @ Kansas in Overtime.  Kansas is ranked #2.  While it is unfortunate that the loss will drop the Jackets in the pools, in college basketball, it is important to get to the NCAA Tournament.  Playing well in the tournament is typically based on playing hard teams on the road during the season.  Playing Gonzaga and Kansas on the road is part of the process of becoming a good team in the Tournament.

Hey Wally, Happy New Year.
I think when they talk about the ultra stability of Linux that they are talking about full installs. LinkSys and other little machines that use a stripped down version cant compare. We have about 8 Linux machines here, so far cant say we ever need to reboot them except for extreme situations, like software upgrades, certain installs, etc. Typically they may go months without a reboot. Of course we have a Win2K Server that likewise goes months without needing a reboot. Go figure.

I liked your site (BLOG), and was wondering if you were ever going to publish in any of the national rags? Wired? Developers Journal? etc?

Have a great new year.
