Online Bookmark Manager...

I'm trying to find a good online bookmark manager I have looked into most of them that are list on http://useful.webwizards.net/wbbm.htm but I haven’t found one that I really like yet. Does anyone use one or know of one they think is good? There surely has to be a good one out there somewhere, but until I find one I guess I will have to write my own.

I'm currently working on a webservice that will allow me to manage my bookmarks. I'm storing the bookmarks in an xml file that matches the format for Microsoft’s Treeview WebControl, so I can easily set the xml source for the treeview. I would like to use this as a sidebar. I can do this in IE by opening a link to my treeview with the target set to “_search”. I’ve been trying to use Firebird though after hearing about it from other .Net Blogs, which I like thus far but it doesn’t support a sidebar as far as I can find yet.

If anyone has any suggestions for me please let me know.

Does the ColdStorage sample on MSDN do this? I though it would let you store bookmarks online.

Forget online. I use a client windows application bookmark manager - PowerMarks. Its a very good fast interface, but the big thing is that it allows you to store your bookmarks online at their website, and automatically update from your machine with any changes. This way you get to eat the cake and keep it whole - fast windows UI, shared content among clients. I have it both at work and at home, using the same set of online bookmarks.

# Firebird's sidebar

Firebird has a sidebar (this exists since the first release of Mozilla). Try View | Sidebar.
I don't know how to display pages in it though.

I was going to mention Powermarks too -- that's what I use -- the same as Roy.

One note about Powermarks sync: if you delete a bookmark at home and sync, when you go into work and sync you'll put the deleted bookmark back. But this is minor -- it still rocks!

I've been using http://www.mybookmarkmanager.com for a while. It has RSS feeds and public bookmarks which I use. It is not exactly perfect but works well for my purposes.

I have an online bookmark manager that supports a mozilla plugin for Mozilla and Firebird.

There are a ton of features and you can do boolean searches etc.

In about a month I will be offering a free version.

You can see the stuff it does at http://www.wurldbook.com also if you want to use the Mozilla plugin you should contact me and I'll send you the link to it.

It's pretty cool.

Thanks.

I use http://www.my-favourites.com and it's great. Very fast, with an uncluttered popup treeview to access my favorites.

Just be careful with the spelling, it uses the British spelling of favourite.
