Update on Internship Offers

Well just for those of you that don't know, I was given an official offer from Microsoft and IBM's Extreme Blue Program for summer internships. It was a very tough decision to make. After many hours of thinking and discussing with my wife, I have come to the decision to accept Microsoft's Software Design Engineer Internship Offer.

Congrats. With what group will you be working? I was an intern for MS (a SDE as well) back in the summer of 1999. The only thing I couldn't take was the Seattle weather. It was like in the 60s most of the summer. Too cold of summer months for a guy from the Midwest! :-)

Have fun! Enjoy your BBQ with Bill Gates, that is a fun time.

I will be in the Outlook group. That's funny about the weather. I'm from the midwest too, and I don't like extreme temps, not to cold, not to hot. I was thinking I would like the weather in Seattle, but I guess we will see.

Hey its nervous here again,

Remember I had a MS STE intern interview on the 17th. Well im back! 5 long interviews ( thats including College recruit) They went well, however not as many coding questions(reverse string, prime numbers) as yours, mostly testing everything(Font, Calculator, Save As)!

The unusal arkwardness of the other intern and fulltime interviewees was nerve racking, untill I broke the ice, and it was intresting to see all of the diversity among us!! ( somewhat)

The dual monitors were niiiiice! The people were friendly and very easy to tallk to. I was interviewing with Office. MS has a huge campus, and I love the t-shirt and flip flops attitude !

So we'll see hopefully I will be apart of Summer 2004 intenship program with ya! If not I really enjoyed Seattle AND Mt. Rainer, Bill Gates House, loating Bridges, Space Needle, the Japenese Garden, and all the Asian food I could eat (on MS, hehe)

- not so nervous anymore!

Thanks

I'm interning at Outlook this summer as well, STE. I was there last summer but I am switching groups so it'll be strange. I'm interviewing for Code Blue today for the fall.
