LINQ, ScottGu and NDDNUG
After a killer presentation by ScottGu at North Dallas .Net User Group I finally got around to playing with LINQ and in particular the database portion of it known as DLINQ. After about 20 hours of "learning the ropes" over the weekend, I decided to show what I had figured out to some of my FSI co-workers. Like me, they were blown away with what I believe "is the future of data access" programming.
I am not gonna bore you with all the "beginner" stuff that you can read in a thousand other places, but with my next few blogs, I am going to put up several of the things that I have learned along the way... mainly for me to refer to later. If you happen across here and you find something useful, I am glad, because some of the things I will post here I couldn't find anywhere. It took just good old fashioned grunt work. I had a pretty steep learning curve cause I knew NOTHING about Lambda Expressions, Anonymous Types and a slew of other techno-codemonkey buzzwords. Perhaps you can benefit from some of my pain.
