DimDim - Free Web Conferencing Service
I just ran across an awesome new free open source service, DimDim. I constantly need the ability to do web conferencing with other people to show them ideas or show off my latest work. I have been using Microsoft SharedView beta for a while now, but DimDim seems even better with no software to install for either the presenter or client.

AjaxControlToolkit AutoCompleteExtender Bug in an UpdatePanel
While working with the AutoCompleteExtender in the AjaxControlToolkit I ran across a bug where if the control happens to reside in an UpdatePanel, the AutoComplete trigger wouldn't get called after a PostBack is triggered in the UpdatePanel.

TFS 2008 Installation Escapades & Errors
We are piloting TFS 2008 where I work and since our server admins refuse to work on our servers I got the awesome task of upgrading our TFS 2005 pilot to TFS 2008. Now I read all of the docs on how to do the upgrade and all of the forum posts saying how smoothly everything went. Of course the install bombed big time for me, and here is what happened just in case someone else runs across the same issue.

Yes, yes, I know that UpdatePanels aren’t elegant AJAX implementations. I know that some consider them cheating and worthless. But I also know that they are easy to use and they work darn well, so I will continue to use them for a lot of applications.
