Microsoft Spirit

If a country has its sprit, this nation and its people will overcome any difficult time, such as Chinese are famous for their diligence, wisdom, and brave. If a person has his spirit, he can create any miracle in his whole life, such as Zhang Yimou and his Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony.

The same happens in real business world. If a company has its spirit, it will very vital and active in business, such as Microsoft have become the biggest software company in the world. It’s all brilliant history. As a great company, Microsoft still run in his road after Bill’s retirement. I think this big boat can run better and better, because of its spirit.

So, what’s Microsoft spirit? Actually, I have no idea.

Maybe, you mention about culture things. However, culture is not spirit; culture always keeps in the wall not in the heart. Spirit comes from everyone’s inside soul. Last night, I have an honor to attend a technical dinner meeting with MVPs and Microsoft guys.  Lisa, who is Program Manager in VB Team, is an important guest in this party; she takes a long trip from America, and can’t wait to have more talks with our developers and programmer. During the whole dinner, we all forget delicious foods, technique becomes only interest. Visual Studio, C#, VB and CLR become our focus. Lisa asks for question and collects our suggestions, note everything in her book. 2 hours are too short to talk more, but her spirit and her notebook gives us very impression.

Beautiful Sisley and her colleagues give us a memorable night, thanks for her organization. Xu Lei are still active in conversion, he is born talents. Cheng Xinwen, a good guy, has a good talk with me after party. Thanks for this evening and experience with expert, that’s my pleasure.

In ethos, we have our spirit called 3E, including ethical, excellent and evolving. We are going to build a company, which have our spirit inside. We are on our road, that’s important all the time.
