MVP Summit: simply awesome!
Note: this entry has moved.
Last week we had the
2004 MVP Global Summit, as you probably read from
Dare Obasanjo
post. I met most of the XML MVP guys, and we spend a good
time together, discussing technologies, the future of .NET
and APIs, etc.
Despite the usual marketing stuff (the first 2 days), the
third day and the non-conference-related activities made for
an awesome experience. We had the chance to talk with the
guys developing the cool System.Xml stuff, about the current
and the future versions, as well as their view on some other
aspects of the XML landscape and its evolution.
I was amazed by the degree of openness in these guys. We really felt like being part of the same team, the team pushing for XML adoption and struggling to get the best XML API in the world. It was really encouraging. A big thanks for them, and congratulations for a really cool Summit!
