New patterns site

Microsoft provides a new site to the patterns community.

The Patterns and Practices group at Microsoft has just published a new wiki for sharing patterns called The site already contains the patterns of noted authors such as Martin Fowler, GOF, Gregor Hohpe, and others. It also offers these patterns in a Enterprise Architectural Space Organizing Table so that you can see the relationship between patterns.

In the EASOT, each pattern on the site is denoted by a symbol based on the author and organized into categories based on the view, role, and aspect.

The authors of the patterns on the site include:

  • Martin Fowler (54 pages)
  • POSA: Buschmann, Jain, Kircher, Meunier, Rohnert, Sommerlad, Stal, and Schmidt (10 pages)
  • Community (8 pages)
  • GOF: Gamma, Helm, Johnson, and Vlissides (20 pages)
Microsoft patterns & practices (91 pages)
  • Eric Evans (44 pages)
