Eraser v5.8 - Cool Security Tool

Sometimes you have the need to erase a file or a disk in a way that no one will be able to recover it, this is exactly where Eraser comes into the picture… Eraser is a cool security tool with allows you to completely remove sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns.

Have I mentioned its also Free and the source code is under GNU ?

There are some other programs that will enable you to erase files / disks with pattern overwriting… but what I like in this app is the possibility to keep on working in windows even while pattern erasing one of your hard disks (most of the other apps work in a bootable dos)

You can spot the new option added to the context menu of the recycle bin – Erase Recycle Bin

Choosing this option will bring the following question… and clicking options will bring you the pattern choosing form.
