If you are considering or already involved in upgrading VB6 applications to VB.NET,  make sure you check out the new release of the Interop Forms Toolkit 2.0.  The first version of this toolkit was very usefull and had some cool features that weren't always obvious at first glance.  This version takes it even a step further - here is the summary from the VB Team blog announcement:

As I am working my way back home from the MIX 07 conference, I have had time to reflect on the conference and whether it was a good use of my time and money:

Today I made my way to Las Vegas for the Microsoft MIX conference (reports on the the conference later in the week) and I just had to blog on my Check-In experience with JetBlue.  I do alot of flying, both internationally and within the US, but I had never flown JetBlue .  Ordering my ticket was easy, and saved me almost 50% over the cost with Delta or American.   But what really blew me away was the Check-In at JFK airport - it was absolutely amazing !! Simple and fast - I have never experienced such a a quick and pleasant check-in experience. Ever. 

If you've been using Outlook 2007 or just been following the blogs, you know that there are alot of scenarios where Outlook 2007 runs painfully slow.  Microsoft has responded quickly to this issue, and has already provided a fix that addresses many of these issues - rather than waiting for SP1.  It can be downloaded from here.  The response to this fix has great and has resulted in a lot more "happy campers" on the MS leading edge...

Well, if you didn't get a chance to play with the March CTP, you can now play with the official Beta1.   Not a lot more functionality than the CTP, but a lot of cleanup and polish.

I just got back from my annual appearance at VSLive! San Francisco (it seems that I have been speaking at one or more VSLive events since February 2000)

Because of the Passover holiday, we will not be having our April meeting on its usual date.  HOWEVER,  I have coordinated a special meeting for Thursday April 12.  We will have the privilege of a special user group meeting with two Program Managers from Microsoft Corporate headquarters in Redmond, who should be of great interest to developers like us.
