Are you as CSS challenged as I am...
I may be able to spin code to move data between disparate systems. I may be able to design databases that hum along without chewing up resources. I cannot, however, create a web page that looks great. I know the basics of CSS. Just enough to make any page look like my 12 year old did it for me.

Community Starter Kit - Built on VS.NET 2005

FTP on IIS - not easy!
I've been struggling with setting up secure FTP access on my Win2k-2003, IIS setup. Scott Forsyth has created a couple of entries that hit it on the head. Take a look at Mastering IIS FTP - Part 1 - Redirecting Users and Mastering IIS FTP - Part 2 - Virtual Directories/Physical Directories.

Community Starter Kit 2.0 - Overview
As the architecture for the CSK 2.0 continues to come to I will be posting updates here. :)

Smart Client Offline Application Block
This block has re-usable code and samples which show how you can build smart client applications which can operate offline. With this block your application can detect the presence or absence of a network connection, cache data for use while offline, and re-synchronize data and tasks with the network once the application goes online.

Trackbacks and the Community Starter Kit
I have a team of 4 people putting together the specs for the Community Starter Kit 2.0. One of the things we are discussing is Trackbacks. I would love to get feedback from people on how useful Trackbacks would be in a Portal/CMS type application.
