Software development - a cooperative game

I just attended a talk with Alistair Cockburn on software development processes and the human factor.

Cockburn, which probably has had his "ck" pronounced one time too many, has a lot of interesting points about the non-productive rigidnesses of sw development processes. In one example he pointet out that making the right office environment for us coders could save $50k in a 12 person 6 month project.

This got me thinking about ScottGu's description of his moving sround at Redmond campus. Microsoft probably have figured out what Alistair Cockburn have so thouroughly documented. Have a look at his presentation if making sw development processes more human and effective interests you...
