Simple rules do define enterprise shared and sector data.
After discussing models of data sharing across enterprise
users we want to make some rules to distinguish between
sector data versus shared data. First of all we want to
define sector data. Actually our enterprise data split
into information worlds. Each information world contains
data that serve the needs of certain professional workers
group and act as a part of that
professional group business logic. Such professional group
could be finance peoples, human resource peoples,
marketing peoples and so on.
From information world definitions you can easily map
enterprise information into certain information world.
Usually each information world, due to it business logic
(workflow), has dedicate system to deal with that business
logic. Therefore each information world data is managed by
that system that handles information world business logic.
For mapping shared enterprise data you need detailed
BPM’s (Business Process modeling) of your enterprise. The
logic here is pretty straight forward, every data that
participates in a cross group’s
business process consider as shared data and should be
access across enterprise users.
