Presenting phase one of enterprise architecture work to IT department workers.

After 4 month of 3 team work and a first draft of the suggested enterprise architecture it’s about time to present our work to the IT department. The management wants us to present our work and the methodology that we followed; I jump on that opportunity as a way to increase the EA awareness in the enterprise. I can’t go into EA details but I just want to say that I choose to let participate as much as possible EA team members as speakers.

I’m just talking about TOGAF as the framework that we use. The team members are talking about actual architecture decisions that we have been made. After all it’s a process that made by the enterprise (I’m just the coach :- ) ) so it obvious that enterprise workers should present the work to their co-workers. I think it’s the best way to spread the doctrine (without IT support it will be hard to implement the suggested EA) but I’ll wait until tomorrow to see if it helps …
