Is Sony will be the next computer revolution company ?

It's surely not .Net related, well for today but for tomorrow Sony is surely working on something totally new regarding the way we can conceive a computer.

They already presented the Vaio EQ at the 2002 Sony DreamWorld Show but this year the lucky visitors of the famous expo can see the results of Sony research.



Imagine an hexagonal panel without any keyboard. Imagine having a nice dinner conversation about how much you would like to go on holidays next summer in Australia.

The Vaio will be able to record automatically the surrounding voices and images, filter the keywords.

Later on it will remind you about your dream vacation location and will book the flights, hotels and maybe buy some packs of Fosters ;-)

Seriously this seems to be really the next computer evolution, where fiction is reality, and as a geek, I love this new, but it's also a bit freaky that a computer could be able to record everything on you without asking.

Indeed the Vaio record alone sound, images and heart beat too (in case it feels you need to see a doctor).

Sony's project seems to be well advanced, and they talked about 2004 for a release. If this come true, Longhorn look like a small toy compare to the Vaio EQ.
