The dot-com bubble never burst on the Microsoft campus, judging from the items for sale on a website for company employees.
Yachts, pet horses, waterfront homes on Lake Washington and time-share condos in Mexico are just a few of the lavish items for sale and sought by Microsoft employees and their friends.
The site, called MicroNews Ads, is not open to the general public. One must be a Microsoft employee, or be invited by one, to browse the ads. Only one family member or friend per employee is allowed to access the site.
Though it's not uncommon for companies to provide these types of want-ad services to employees, the MicroNews advertisements provide a peek into the wealth of some employees at one of the nation's most powerful companies.
