Microsoft Acrylic

Microsoft announce  a new graphic software Acrylic Beta (be careful 77Mb to download!). I tried it and I got immediately this feeling of deja vu.

If you are an old computer 'dinosaur' type you remember playing with this 10 to 15 years ago as it was known as Expression (even the link to download the software redirect to a directory named expression)( 

So don't compare Acrylic with Adobe Illustrator, they are not for the same public. Acrylic is running smoothly anyway but I reckon that Acrylic/Expression is more like a gizmo than something really useful. You can produce some nice effects anyway if you have some time to spare.
