SQL 2005 launch on the 7th of November

Good news 3 tools launched on the same day: Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and Biztalk 2006.

But if I have no doubts on the quick migration to VS, I don't think the wole industry will embrace SQL2005 so quickly.

A database migration is not an easy task and I believe that at least for one year, many developers will still have to work with SQL 2000.

The question now is to see if some new service packs will be released for the current version.
