ASP.Net 2.0 migration: Round 2

Ok I finally manage to get a bit of more time to have a try at VS 2005 Beta 2.

My first attempt a couple of weeks ago has failed to migrate one serious project I am managing with .Net 1.1

Scott Guthrie contacted me regarding the issues I got, and well because I don't see any NDA in his reply, I can tell that they are working hard to make everybody happy with the new framework.

I received a couple of new assemblies from Michael Bundschuh regarding a new migration wizard tool which I intend to try this week-end.

I just hope this will have a better ending than the first time. I am anyway still convinced that Visual Studio 2005 is still not ready for the 7th of November, but Microsoft prove me wrong.

From the readme text coming with the zip file:

README
Thank you for downloading this prototype of the migration wizard (compatible with the Beta 2 version of Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Web Developer). This prototype has the ability to add Reference directives and generate abstract base class stub files in order to automate and minimize the number of broken references your web application may encounter when converting from ASP.NET 1.x to ASP.NET 2.0
