Mobical another cool web application
Web applications are the latest coolest things on the web, and another one I used recently is Mobical.
I was trying last week to move my contacts from my ‘old’ Ericsson P900 to my new gizmo, the now so famous Imate Jasjar.
What do you do if you don’t know where are the cables and more importantly, you have no clue about the installation cd coming with your mobile phone?
Well after a bit of Googlism, I stumble on this cool application Mobicalc. It let you backup and sync all your phone contacts, calendar for about 150 different types of mobile phone.
Easy to use, you register you setup your mobile synchronisation with Mobical servers and voila your data are quickly transfer to your own space. Then you can export and transfer to your new mobile.
The only thing missing in the process (a wish for the next version) is to have a facility to export to a CSV format. At the moment it’s only Visual Card format and you need a bit of work on this. But at the end of the day works pretty well for me and my data is backed up safely.
