Thanks to all for the answers on my SQL connection issue, but weird to have so many different suggestions and sadly nothing is still working :-( I can clearly see the instances if I use SQL Browser, from SQL 2005 to SQL 2000 or vice versa, but I can't make them talking to each other, stubbornly deaf!
