Apple switch to Intel trigger a lot of discussion

A lot of people are trying to see if you can use Windows XP on the new MacBook Pro (Vista will do).

Well, in my opinion, this is a superb laptop but as usual with Apple (and yes I am one of their oldest fan), it’s expensive and if you look closer, not everything is perfect and some stuff found in the previous model are now missing (the modem for example sold separatly).

But for me, the discussion should move somewhere else. Indeed you can find for a better price better laptops, even now with dual core processors. But it’s true that Mac OSX is really a nice OS and I would be interested to use it in a dual boot situation on a ‘classic’ laptop. I have been tempted many times by Linux as a desktop OS solution but I think Mac OS X will has a better chance if operating on non Apple and cheaper laptop (or desktop).
