Portscan how to fight back ?

Anybody has an idea how to fight back against the assholes who use a porstcan ?

Of course I have pretty good security and it's well blocked by the firewall, but this take some of my precious bandwith.

It could also explained the General Network error I mentioned in a previous post. This is my theory after reading Darrell's post on the subject.
