Should I wait for Orcas?

Like many web developers I am excited by the news about Atlas and the full commitment by Microsoft to support in the future its development.

However in the announcement made by Scott Guthrie one important thing I noticed was this:

"...

Things will get even better next year with Visual Studio “Orcas” where we are adding rich JavaScript intellisense, debugging and WYSIWYG designer support for the ASP.NET AJAX Extensions within Visual Studio and many other great features to take advantage of.

... "

Great, fantastic at last I can debug my client scripts in Visual Studio. So Scott when you talk about next year for Orcas, what is the point about using Visual Studio 2005 when I can jump from VS 2003 directly to a much better version?

After all, I think it's quite common in our industry to jump 2 or 3 releases, look at Office for example.

Including also that I believe Orcas will include all the technologies still running currently as Betas or CTPs! In Ireland VS 2005 is still not a product used by many!
