7:30pm: Keynote speaker – Jeremy Keith, Web Developer on “Explaining AJAX”
8:30pm Q & A Session Followed by refreshments
Background to Keynote Address:
Apart from being the buzzword de jour, what is this AJAX stuff that everyone is talking about? Take a look at some implementations out there and start thinking about how AJAX can add value to your site.
In this presentation, you'll learn the ins and outs of AJAX, its power and its shortcomings. There'll be some code but, more importantly, there'll be a look at some of the design challenges that AJAX presents.
AJAX is a powerful tool. In the wrong hands, it can wreak havoc on a site's interaction design. In the right hands, it can be a great aid to usability.
