Microsoft has a new offering called SYNC (more details here). A fully-integrated, voice activated in-car communication and entertainment system for your mobile phone and digital music player. Currently available for Lincoln, Ford, and Mercury vehicles.

I thought it's pretty good step in the right direction and definitely good for the car companies that are struggling in the US market.
