NEWS ALERT: Eolas Patent Invalidated

The US Patent and Trademark office has filed an initial ruling claiming that the Eolas browser patent is invalid, according to News.com. This move means, if upheld, that Microsoft will not have to make any changes to Internet Explorer.

WOO HOO! Micrsoft made a good call in holding off the browser changes from Windows XP SP2. Now we'll have to see if the preliminary ruling is upheld.
