Schedule:
Wednesday 9/6:
8:45 am – Ronda dropped me off at the airport.
9:00 am – Made it through the security gates. They caught that I had 4 oz. of saline solution for my contacts, but it was within their rules. The lady at security was kind enough to take a look and let me through.
11:55 am to 12:05 pm – Arrived in Atlanta after flying around Atlanta more time than it took to fly from Knoxville to Atlanta. Running through the Atlanta Airport to get my connecting flight to Jacksonville. I arrived at the gate for my 12 noon flight at 12:04. Was rebooked to fly out at 1:30 pm and arrive at 2:40 pm.
2:40 pm – Arrived and got my car.
2:50 pm – Checked in at the hotel. The Jax-INN has the necessities, bed, door with lock, and an alarm clock.
3:15 pm – Got some lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s.
4:15 pm – Arrived at Panera Bread to grab a hot chocolate and some internet.
5:15 pm – Vinay arrived.
5:40 pm – We left to go to the meeting.
5:50 pm – We arrive at the meeting location.
6:05 pm – Dennis starts the meeting.
6:25 pm – I start into the presentation on Atlas.
8:05 pm – I finish up the presentation.
8:45 pm – Get to BW3 for some socializing.
10:25 pm – leave BW3 to the hotel.
10:55 pm – Got to the hotel, gave Vinay the books, and headed to bed.
Thursday 9/7:
4:00 am – Yawn, this is too early to travel.
5:00 am – Dropped off the car.
6:30 am – Headed down the runway to Atlanta.
7:35 am – Landed in Atlanta.
8:40 am – Time to takeoff, unfortunately, we are missing our plane.
10:00 am – Our plane finally makes it to Atlanta.
10:45 am – We push back from the gate. Pilots shouldn't say that a slight mechanical problem delayed them, but I guess they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
10:58 am – We rocket down the runway.
11:30 am – We are at the gate in Knoxville.
