MySql and .NET

As I was writing up the post on Oracle, I started to wonder what was happening with MySql.  It appears that some things are happening. MySql has two drivers for .NET and a Visual Studio .NET plugin.  The plugin was kinda cool until I read that it has only basic features.  The plugin doesn't have any app development capabilities, though, personally, that is not a big deal.
