TTTGallery Install Problems

I was redoing ChrisHammond.com this morning, and went to install the PA Version of the 2.0.4 TTTGallery, but ran into problems. All the files appeared to go in correctly, except I had to make a few changes.

First I had to modify the .DNN file in the TTTGallery.zip file, which is located inside the desktop modules/tttgallery/ folder of the PA Zip file you can download from TTTcompany.com. In the .DNN file I removed the friendly name of TTT Gallery to TTTGallery. The folder name is TTTGallery, and was causing problems having a friendly name of TTT Gallery due to the space.

Second, I ran into a wierd issue on PA install, but the exception viewer wasn't trapping the error. I ended up figuring out that the NetBricks DLL wasn't getting overwritten. Since I had TTTGallery on 1.0.10E I already had a version of the netbricks dll. I removed that, tried reinstalling the PA for TTTGallery and it works great!

Check out the new ChrisHammond.com!

  • I googled TTTGallery install problems and blamo - up came your blog. I know you have nothing to do with this company, but since you've been through this before.. if you have time would you mind shooting me a hint?

I downloaded the latest version of TTTGallery from the site, but can't seem to install. Do I just use the file manager in DotNetNuke to upload the component, or how do I install it? I tried this, and the file seemed to upload fine, and unzip, but I don't see the module showing up.

I am new to DotNetNuke, so forgive me if I'm completely lost...

    thanks-

  • Bill,

You need to install modules in this way:

    Login as host

Choose file manager from the Host menu

Click the pencil icon and add files

    Select custom module

    Add and upload

    Hope this helps.
