how the market works
Our company is based in germany. I want to have mobil access to our comany from every place So i take a look at a offer from vodafone UMTS/GPRS based card for my notebook. This costs 110 Euro. This includes a card and 500 MB / per month.

If i look out of my office over the 500m distance to the Austrian border i can get this for the less then the half. Same company (austrian sub)!

This is no advertising for vodafone in austria. It shows what the market can do. A company always try to get the max "value" from the customer.
The diffrence between microsoft and vodafone is that nobody will go to court and want the money back from vodafone germany because it is cheaper in austria. Not in europe, perhaps in the states.
