Silverlight Soliloquy: Qualifications

In the previous soliloquy, my alter-ego (Shadowman) decided to "shadow" the journey of Jesse Liberty's The Great Asynchronous Learning Experiment.

The soliloquy continues:

After looking at some of the QuickStarts and videos for Silverlight, I am starting to question if I have what it takes to be a Silverlight developer.  Am I ready?  Let me post a question to Jesse's blog to see what he says...

Ok, Jesse's response cleared it up.  Since I am comfortable with HTML, Javascript, and .NET development, I should be good to go.  However, he mentioned XAML is something I should know.  Let me see what a  www.live.com  search on XAML will return...

I found a good XAML overview on the MSDN site.  I also found a XAML description at wikipedia.org.  Good thing I am not afraid of XML.  If I did not have an XML background, this might look a little intimidating.

Now that I am comfortable about qualifying, my next task is to understand why he mentioned different versions of Silverlight.
