Silverlight Cross Browser

It is so amazing about the silverlight 1.0,  and now 2.0 is the best one.

Did you ever wonder that it works well on the different browsers like IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera?

The SL 2.0 Version is working well on the most browsers, but  if you create SL 1.0 and 2.0 in one webpage and try to browse it by using Opera, you will notice that something unstable happened.

Opera doesn't currently support SL1.0 content yet, it only supports 2.0.

What do you think? This is just my experience.

I don't know if it is working well on yours or not.

  • I've heard that Silverlight will not work in the just released Firefox 3 but I have not checked that out yet. Firefox 3 made itself my default browser without asking my permission. Several of my extensions won't work including Firebug, although I've just installed the new version which appears to disable several panels.

  • #Re: Yeah! man, for the Beta release, it might be not working with SL. But now it is fully released and also get supported all SL version.
    So check it out...

  • #Updated: Now I have tested with some more browsers.
If you installed Silverlight 2 runtime, you'll notice that:
for Firefox 3, IE8, Opera 9.50 they are currently now being the problem for silverlight runtime.
Firefox3, 90% Support Silverlight 1.0. some SL1.0 Content will not show in Firefox3.
    but for 2.0, 100% working.
    Same as IE8.
but unfortunately Opera 9.50 only support 2.0 version.

    Hope this will help.
