My presentation at TechEd
It does look not very good to blog about my own presentation, but someone has to do it ;). I'm getting used to it ;).
I arrived to the room 10 minutes before the presentation and Richard Turner from the MS Indigo team was talking about WebServices & Versioning. His last slide had the following content:
Database Versioning:
- This is VERY hard to do
- Usually involves a data manipulation and migration process
- Requires EXTENSIVE testing
(and my favorite one)
- Avoid if possible through careful DB design at the outset.
As DeKlarit was built to deal with this problem, I had to ask him permission to show his slide in my presentation ;).
It was a lunch-time session, the ones that are usually made by partners, so I did not expect a lot of people in the room, but there were about 300 hundred people, which was much more than I expected.
It was a 45' min session. Mike Culver from Microsoft wanted to introduce me, then it was my turn. Everything worked OK, but I finished 7 minutes earlier, so I guess I forgot Richard's advices ;). A lot of people came to talk to me at the end of the session and then in the booth, so I was quite happy with it.
It was my first TechEd presentation, so I really was proud of my blue speaker shirt ;).
