.NET Show - Tablet PC

Just finish watching the latest .NET Show about Tablet PC from the MSDN web site.

The show is s..o.. cool, and Sam wrote an application from scratch which work just like Windows Journal easily!

I know why there're so many people like using “TabletPC” and blog their experience here now. :)

  • The SDK is really nice and powerful, but from my experiments, I found that it doesn't help you as much as you would need to make a real "think in ink" application.

What I mean is that re-programming a Journal-like app is quite fast with the 1.5 SDK, but when you want to go to the next level of "ink thinking" like Graphigo the step is still huge.

I wish the Tablet PC had released some Tablet PC code sample or at least some article to give some more insight on more complex features, like basic sketch recognition.

  • Yeah, it was a good episode. I couldn't figure out how his delete area would only delete what we ran over. Mine deleted the entire letter if I touched even a piece of it. Also, I could never get the text recognition to work out. I guess I don't have the proper software to do it.
