Intellisense not working in Visual Studio 2008

• clean the solution and rebuild it. It will work.
  

• I have tried this and it doesnt seem to stick. When I open up the setting the center one is a green square. I uncheck and check it so it has a check mark then hit ok and when I close it and go back it goes right back to the green square. Anybody else experience this?
  

• Thank you very much. I tried anything, but I forgot to delete the .ncb file. Usually I do it first if I have a problem.

• I still have the problem. My code blocks and script blocks are all black text with no intellisense. I have tried the above. I have also reinstalled SP1 and the whole VS 2008 to no avail. Is there anything I need to do on the server? As Satya said above, the settings return after making the change. In my case, I am simply editing an ASPX file in a web project.

• Hey Peter H - I will buy Big Mac for your advice. I lost 3 hours on that stupid problem and finally it work again and I can continue. Thank you
  (I tried other "advices" and tried vs2010, after back instal 2008, find how backup files, secondtime reinstal DirectX SDK, again reinstal 2008..... as I sad thank you, your advice was first successfuly working) :-)

  Just Remove all the data inside above secnarios.

  devenv /resetsettings worked.

• If the above solution does not work try this:
  
  Open Start Menu > All Programs > Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 > Visual Studio Tools > "Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt"
  
  Run the following commands one by one on the command line in this "Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt":
  
  devenv /ResetSettings
  
  devenv /ResetSkipPkgs
  
  devenv /ResetAddin

• Thanks a lot ! This worked out for me. I installed Jetbrains Resharper tool and uninstalled after some time. This screwed up the Intellisence settings of visualstudio and left it in 'Unknown Settings' Mode.
