More Aggregator Goodness

New aggregator build is available. You will need to re-run the db script since there is a lot of new table info. Enough functionality is there now that I am now using it as my default aggregator, but still a good bit to go before the release. New features include post flagging (like outlook's colored flag stuff), fixes, and some more ui work on the post view.

  • Hi Jesse. I'm afraid this crashes every time on my machine. I get an error (apparently from WSE) that I can't open an endpoint on the same host/port. But I've no idea where this endpoint is trying to be opened. I presume it's for the P2P search...

  • What is the exception text?

  • Oh Lordy. As a developer I should really know better than to post such a vague "it don't work" post.

    Here you go:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.Net.Sockets.SocketException' occurred in system.dll

Additional information: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted

I'm running on XP Pro, on a domain and I have IIS running (although the same happens when I stop it).

I tried it at home, but couldn't get past a different exception (a SqlClient "system error" exception, so I don't know what's going on there, either).

  • I'll take a look at this and see what I can do. Most likely you just need to use a different port (I think you can actually assign the default wse port in app.config somewhere). As far as SQL exception's go, you need to have MSDE installed and then you need to run the sql script included and make sure that the account you are logged in as has access to the database. Have you done all that? (yes, there will be a nice installer to handle all this eventually).
