Vista and Cambridge

So I’m sitting in Starbucks in Cambridge UK. I can’t believe I have to pay 5 pounds for wireless! :) I hardly ever go to Starbucks but it’s the only place I could find offering wireless Internet access. I haven’t been in England in quite a few years and just met my nephew for the first time. My sister has been living in England for a few years and just settled in Cambridge after living in the country for a while.

I’m finishing off part 4 of my Windows Vista for Developers series and should post that in the next week or two. As with previous articles in the series, it will be relatively long and detailed. This one is all about User Account Control and Mandatory Integrity Control. So much has been written about UAC for IT folks and end users yet so little is available for developers. Hopefully I will be able to fill in some of the gaps for developers as the documentation is nonexistent at the moment.

Anyway, I’m off to look around some more. Hopefully I don’t get too lost...

If you stand on the sidewalk in front of Starbucks, can you leech off their wireless for free ^_?

There's a further advantage if you can stand long enough without eating: you can lose 5 pounds `o'

  • I would like to apologise on behalf of Great Britain for the traumatic experience you had in Starbucks... next time use our place it's free :-)
