I know that there are already a lot of WYSIWYG editors for ASP.NET in the interent. At the moment I did not find a good one that is free and I can redistribute with my software. I tried to create a new one and I would be happy if there is someone you will have a short look at http://forum.schwarz-interactive.de/textbox.aspx.

Is this on one on revjon.com a free one that I can redistriubute with my own software under my own company name?
If you're planning to make money from your product it'd probably be a nice gesture to make a donation on his site...

Yes, of course. But I am not sure if this is exactly what I need. If you looked on my control you can see the image icon. I think that my image upload/select is a little bit nicer. Ok, not everything working good, but the small thumbnail preview...
What if I want to use a own image upload, is this possible in the control?
Yes Michael agree with Scott, I use FreeTextbox in a lot of projects, like dScribe for example, and it's really top !
Well if you have time to recreate the wheel, fair enough but I think have a look at Freetextbox before going far.
Their Image function works well. The only problem with this feature has nothing to do with the control, but the fact tohat you need to give some access privileges to upload some images, whatever the tool you use.
But FreeTextbox offer so much methods and properties and so easy to configure. OK I stop here, I don't want you to think I am doing too much publicity ;-)

I see that the tool is very nice, Office2003 look, but my problem is that I have to create a lot of special implementations for functions like the image upload. One customer will need a image upload to SQL Server, another will save the images to a special ftp server... But I see that you are very happy with the Freetextbox, and I will talk to the guy to find a solution.

Incidentally, that's also the one that .TEXT uses :-)

Ok, that sounds nice... perhaps I should contact the author of this textbox.

Download the source, it's a nicely written control and really easy to extend.
