Plans for 2005
Last year, the only major thing that I did was getting
married ;) (j/k) With that, I also completed my
MSc. in Mobile Computing
from
University of Bradford,
released
few
pet
projects, completed the update for
the book ( which you can find
here) . But, indeed, none of these are comparable to the first
thing.
But, as 2004 passed, I have to
concentrate on the new year. So here are few things that I
planned for 2005
- Probably start some kind of subscription service (ala
Paul Wilson
style) for some products and content. (microISV, miniISV,
nanoISV blah blah :)
- Learn Whidbey (maybe
after it is officially released)
- Learn a new language (most probably
Python). In my opinion,
this is going to be a big year for Python as you can already
see
the
trend.
- Read and Understand atleast a couple of big
Open Source Projects (more on this later)
- Write
about software development in Financial Industry (where I am
currently involved)
- Write more about Mobile
Computing and practical applications of Queuing Theory (Give
others what I learned from the Uni)
- Follow more
webcasts.
- Learn marketing (probably very difficult,
but I will try my best)
- Write few technical
articles
- Focus more on
devmobile.net (Redesign it, improve it, inject some pure content in
it)
So, I'll be posting a detailed schedule to
cover most, if not all, of the above activities.
Stay tuned to this blog.
