For the love of God, what's wrong with you folks !!!

I'm talking about the ones saying things like, "please, please, don't push it back" and "release it no matter what". I thought you were all in the software business and this is what happens when you develop software. And if some of you are now going to claim that you never had a project go late, don't post that kind of BS here because none of us will buy it. Personally I have no doubt that folks at MS are working their cojones off to get this thing right. If this means a Beta 3 in Nov and a push-back on release until Q12006, then "So What!!!" people. Beta 2 is a great release but it has its problems and I for one would like to get them fixed. IT is however stable enough for me to write and deploy apps with, Windows AND Web. If I were to tell my clients I am going to meet their deadline, but the product is going to be of lower quality, I'd be on the street. Everyone got way too spolied with the previous 2005 bits. We have a good working product in 2003 folks, a little more wait is not a big deal if it means a top-shelf product. I maintain, "This is what happens when you develop software!" - MS: do what you gotta do, just do it right.

  • I think the point is moot since Microsoft indicated that they will get out a stable release (meaning they will be able to fix all the issues) on time.. so why delay?
