Grrr... what's wrong with my comments Scott ??

UPDATE: Thanks Scott for your reply, even if I don't understand the timezone difference (good morning anyway).  I still can't see my comment but no worry.
You mention a future post about some other questions people commonly asked about VS 2005. Great but does this include an answer about the update policy (service packs, patches, etc...) ? Believe me we need some answers on this :-)
Also I was finally able to convert successfuly one project with the new DLLs you sent me but nothing works well with one solution with multiple projects (6 in some cases). I will send you my feedback on this.

Scott I hope this is just a case of 'I click the button 'delete this comment I dislike' by mistake' !!

I really like the full explanation you give on the new web project system and other details with VS 2005, but I spend some long minutes to write a comment and yes it was positive. But you know me now I like to be a bit 'pushy'.

So why did you delete my comment? Now I noticed that your post contains only happy comments from happy customers. What's wrong with some positive and legitimate critics.

Of course I respect your freedom to do whatever you want with your blog, but this surprised me a lot.

  • Did you by chance happen to save your comments? If so, could you please repost them here so we can view your latest points? (Not looking to be critical of your comments, just curious to hear the points you tried to make in your line of argument that there should be a beta3...which I happen to agree with.)

My only fear is that they're caught up in "go fever" (aka "launch fever", aka "the unslippable schedule", aka "form over function", aka "marketing intertia"), which has certainly been a problem at NASA lately...

  • Ugh -- you need to give me a little time to go through all the comments (I've received about 40 so far!).

I will post and respond to every question that I get asked, but it might take a few hours given the volume of good questions/comments that are coming in and that I do have a day-job full of meetings so can't always answer each one immediately.

Also -- remember that that I am on the west-coast of the US, so it is still morning here.... ;-)

  • BTW -- it should be posted there now.

  • Note: I am going to-do another post which answers some of your questions (specifically nested applications) either today or tomorrow since that is one several people have asked.

  • Thanks Scott. so the timezone has again hit your side of the world ;-)

BTW I am doing some serious tests now again on the whole conversion stuff (just found a bit of time, not too much but just a bit).

I manage about 25 web projects, so I tried with a simple one (only 1 project in a solution) and at the moment it seems to work! Now the one I really need to try converting is a solution with 6 projects. So wait and see
