Some hope for another Beta ?

.NET General

I am not sure what will be the result of the quest for another round of tests for Visual Studio, but I noticed that Microsoft has changed the status of the Feedback to 'Under Review' and 'Reopened'.

So still hope to expect an answer for the 224 (and probably more if you add the people who didn't voted).

And I am still waiting an answer from Scott Guthrie regarding the mid-term strategy fro VS 2005.

Update: Sorry I got it wrong it was reopened by the question starter.

I don't think there will be a Beta 3. And Microsoft didn't change the status to 'Reopened', but the Clint Stotesbery (the person who entered the bug) did this.

Hopefully we can't at least get some info about service packs. If we can at least get a statement about that, then I'll be satisfied.

I wonder whether the majority of these postponed bugs are in the .NET Framework or just in the IDE. From what I remember, Framework v1.1 only had a couple of security patches and the IDE (VS.Net 2003) never had one.

I assume you know there is going to be an RC (Release Candidate) for VS2005. I think it is going to be released this month (i.e. sept).
