Google Adsense hmm..

I am not really convinced by putting ads to a community site, but hey I decide to give a try on Developers.ie at least on few sections.

My concern is the noise added to the page and more important the non relevance of the ads pushed by Google. After all what is the meaning of having ads for Java products when you running a .Net centric community site?

Just curious I tried to find some tips on adsense and I find something I recommend if you use the ads on a blog.

This has been launched quietly by Google but it make sense after all. Rather than having no control on the ads, you can now add some special Google tags to your HTML page to choose what portion of the page should be use to propose some relevant ads.

Easy to implement. Check this post for the full details. The only thing to remember is the action is not immediate and you will have to wait 2 weeks according to Google, due to the time the bot crawl to your page.
