Google after Office?
Seems that Google’s plot to dominate the world (:-)) unfold every day, revealing a piece at a time like a giant puzzle.
After the email part,
now it seems that they are looking at calendar and
collaborative tools.
GCalendar.com
was recently purchased by a domain holding company which
Google frequently utilises, and the
subdomain calendar.google.com is live, though currently pointing to the main
Google search page
Look like they are really embracing the whole concept of Web 2.0 by delivering more and more online applications.
It won’t be long before we see a Google Word online. After all those applications exists already (check for Writely and Zoho Writer) and if necessary Google has surely the cash to buy those little startups.
UPDATE: an annoucement should be made tomorrow by Google and Sun regarding probably a kind of Office alike tool.
