Origami project, is it really ready for tomorrow?

Well if you have a bit of interests for the Origami project, you have probably subscribed to the RSS feed.

What supposed to happen next? The date on the site is 2nd of March 2006. But the bottom of the screen indicate something new every week.

Now I subscribed last week, so I should see something new this week (week 2) and then something next week (week 3).

So this doesn't make any sense about the presumed date of launch? Or is the date just an indication of the next happening phase. Which means we should wait for another week to see what is really behind this project?

One thing I know for sure, if Origami has a calendar function, it got the dates wrong :-)

  • The date mentioned is tomorrow, I think, March 2nd. (3/2/2006, in US standard, would be March 2nd).

The other thing to consider is that Microsoft doesn't traditionally sell devices of its own - which means that this is probably nothing more than a reference design. But again, we'll see.

  • Thanks Tim, I should read myself sometime :-)

But the point remains the same, what's about the week 1 to 3 links on the bottom?

    Doesn't make any sense no?

  • Hey Paschal,

I was reading that this is the date that more information about what it is will become available... not a release date. I suspect that MS won't release it until after CeBIT sometime.
