Apple 2004 start like a very bad souffle :-(

Not really impressed by the Apple CEO keynote.

OK the new Ipod mini is cool, but I was expecting something better this year.

And a VERY loooong and booooring demo of GarageBand, something so NOT new !

I was connecting a midi keyboard to an Apple II and a C64 so long time ago.

Does it means that Apple has less and less interest in computers ?

  • GarageBand (anyone else besides me dislike this name?) does a LOT more than connect a midi keyboard to a computer. The recording power and sounds are amazing, especially at that price, and the included loops alone would probably cost more than $50 elsewhere.

I also connected a midi keyboard to a computer long ago, but 10 years ago, a program like this cost more than the car I was driving.

  • OK for this but the point is about the fact that this is not new at all and it was demonstrated as the nth marvel of the world !

  • No the Mac forums also discuss a lot about the real news from Steve Jobs.

Apparently the critics are huge on the new iPod mini at $249, overpriced compare to the others iPod.

  • I was very disapointed when I heard the price, too. I was looking forward to buying a mini but $250 is far beyond the rumored $100 price.

  • Oh, and EVERYTHING Steve Jobs said is treated (by him) as the nth wonder of the world... It's almost comedic at times.
