.NET Speech SDK Beta 2 and .NET Framework 1.1

I wanted to make you guys aware of a solution for the incompatibility between the .NET Speech SDK Beta 2 and .NET Framework 1.1. I'm kinda proud of this fix, because I worked with the .NET Speech team to help them develop it. It sure made my life easier. I'll tell you what, MS has the nicest tech support / development people on earth, I don't care what anyone else says. I've also made it available to my list of rapidly-growing .NET resource list.

Speaking of resources, my newest article for Builder.com on the Windows Server 2003 "Platform Wave" will be hitting the web on May 5th. After that, I have a really great article on DAL programming goes live on May 12th. After that, I start a series of articles on extending the standard ASP.NET server controls, including a really cool feature I've been working on for a while now but can't talk about just yet.

In other news, I'm thoroughly enjoying my 21st birthday today. It's also my "golden birthday", which I'm told means your age is the same as the day. Interesting. Well, back to work for me. More from the .NET world tomorrow.

  • Happy Birthday bro. There are no more good ones. I turn 22 in two weeks and it is nothing to me. I don't want to party, drink, or really do anything. Live it up tonight!!!!

  • Whoa, only 21? I feel so old! (26)

Happy birthday man. Heres to the golden hangover (that lasts the same amount of hours as your birthday)

  • I am his twin sister and trust me, he did not live it up as he should have! But don't worry, I drank enough for both of us :)

  • Unfortunately I have a product launch in 2 days and I could not afford to get hung over. That's ok tho, I still had a great birthday. It felt good to get that "Under 21" stuff off of my license.

Thanks to everyone that wished me a happy birthday!
